As the hacked WazirX was undergoing a workout, its digital hosting partner Liminal issued a statement addressing the alleged security bugs. On October 22, Liminal issued an update responding to WazirX's alleged "disinformation campaign" and clarifying some information about its role in the incident. Despite blaming Liminal for the $235 million breach in July, WazirX continues to use its digital custody services and WazirX holds more than $175 million in assets on its platform, the statement said. Liminal stressed that it could not initiate transactions involving WazirX funds and said only the WazirX team had the ability to execute such transactions.
