Bitcoin mining difficulty and network computing power both hit record highs
According to blockchain browser Mempool, the difficulty of bitcoin mining rose by 3.94% to a record high of 95.67 T. The difficulty adjustment took place at block height of 866880 (around 2 am Beijing time on August 23).
According to The Block's data dashboard, the seven-day moving average of Bitcoin's network-wide hashrate also hit a record high of 723.6 EH/s, marking the first time it has exceeded 700 EH/s.
