Microsoft lists "evaluation of bitcoin investments" as a voting item at its December shareholders' meeting
Microsoft's filings with the Securities Exchange Commission (SEC) show that the shareholders' meeting on December 10 will vote on the "evaluation of investing in Bitcoin." The proposal was put forward by the National Center for Public Policy Research, a conservative think tank, but Microsoft's board recommended that shareholders vote against it. The board deemed the proposal "unnecessary" and said that the company's management has given full consideration to Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies and will continue to monitor relevant trends in the future to inform decision-making.
