Cryptocurrency trading firm and market maker GSR announced the departure of two senior executives on Thursday. Rich Rosenblum, co-founder and co-chief executive of GSR, has resigned. John MacDonald, chief technology officer, is also leaving, GSR wrote on social media platform X. GSR noted that Rosenblum was leaving the company "to pursue new entrepreneurial opportunities" and would continue to be in touch with him. The leadership shake-up is another big executive shake-up for GSR this year. It follows the transfer of Jakob Palmstierna, then chief executive, to president in June, with Rosenblum and Xin Song as co-chief executives. The new structure is in line with the company's "orchestrated creativity".
