On October 26th, on October 25th, Chinese Vice Minister of Finance Liao Min co-chaired the sixth meeting of the US-China Economic Working Group with US Treasury Vice Minister Shang Bo during his attendance at the World Bank/international monetary fund annual meeting in Washington, USA. The two sides had in-depth, practical and constructive communication on the macroeconomic situation and policies of the two countries, addressing global challenges, including joint cooperation to help low-income countries cope with liquidity challenges, and next-step communication arrangements. The Chinese side focused on publicizing the current Chinese macroeconomic situation and the package of incremental policies being launched recently, and expressed concern about the US tariffs on China and Russia-related sanctions. After the meeting, Vice Minister Liao Min held courtesy talks with US Treasury Secretary Yellen.
