Brokerage firms such as Mitsubishi UFJ Trust Bank, Nomura, and Daiwa Securities, as well as a consortium of Japanese institutions such as cryptocurrency exchanges such as BitFlyer and Bitbank, have proposed launching cryptocurrency ETFs focused on bitcoin and Ethereum in Japan.
