Coinbase plans to donate $25 million to Fairshake, a pro-cryptocurrency super political action committee (PAC), in the 2026 midterm elections to influence the outcome of the election. Coinbase has donated more than $50 million during this election cycle and says it will continue to do so in 2025, pushing cryptocurrency to become an important part of the political conversation. While it is unclear exactly how the funds will be used, Fairshake and its affiliate super PACs are using industry funds for advertising campaigns in support of cryptocurrency-friendly candidates during this election cycle. Additionally, Coinbase has pledged to help its advocacy group Stand with Crypto (SWC) increase membership from 1.80 million to 4 million.
