Robinhood reported third-quarter results on Wednesday, showing retail interest in cryptocurrencies remains strong, with crypto trading volumes reaching $14.40 billion, up 112% year-over-year. Despite a decline from $21.50 billion in the second quarter and $36 billion in Quarter 1, stock trading volumes rose 65% year-over-year to $286.20 billion. Robinhood's total trading revenue rose 72% to $319 million, of which cryptocurrency trading revenue was $61 million, up 165%. Crypto revenue, though, declined from $81 million in the previous quarter. Assets under custody (AUC) rose 76% year-over-year to $152.20 billion, benefiting from higher net deposits and asset valuations.
