CZ: Very optimistic about investment opportunities in the Middle East, focusing on blockchain, AI, biotechnology and other fields
On November 5th, CZ appeared in Bahrain, another Middle Eastern country, on November 3rd after appearing at Binance Blockchain Week in Dubai, UAE at the end of October. He told reporters that before Binance obtained the virtual asset service provider (VASP) license issued by Dubai, it was the first member of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) to obtain a similar license in Bahrain.
"A lot of people don't know what's good here," CZ said at the second Gateway Gulf Investment Forum in Bahrain, which is less well known as a country that is also friendly to cryptocurrencies. After being granted a crypto-asset service provider license by the Central Bank of Bahrain, Binance also obtained a bank license from the CBB, which means that Binance has directly opened up fiat currency in and out of the local area.
CZ also said that it has learned that Hong Kong peers are actively exploring RWA, but the price volatility of real-world assets is relatively small, so it is difficult to form sufficient trading volume in the secondary market, liquidity is prone to gradually shrinking, and we have to wait for innovators to come up with real use cases that bring liquidity.
In addition, CZ expressed its optimism about investment opportunities in the Middle East, focusing not only on blockchain investment, but also on AI, biotechnology, and other fields in the GCC countries.
