Voter turnout in Michigan has reached 45.8% on Election Day.
Election Day in Michigan went smoothly, with no major voting issues or long queues, and was unaffected by the weather. The Secretary of State's Office said 8,000 absentee ballots had been recovered and more than 820 people had registered to vote on the same day. So far, more than 3.30 million people have participated in voting statewide, and the turnout rate of active registered voters has reached 45.8%.
