Apple faces first fine in European Union related to Digital Markets Act

Apple will face its first Digital Markets Act (DMA) -related fine in the European Union, according to people familiar with the matter. The penalty will target the anti-competitive business of the company's App Store. The reason is that Apple failed to allow app developers to guide users to pay outside the App Store. The amount could be 1.80 billion euros (equivalent to 2 billion dollars).
