Agencies: The Federal Reserve's expectations for future interest rate cuts are being greatly reduced
Quilter Investors analyst Lindsay James said in a note that the pace of future Fed rate cuts appeared to be far less certain than widely expected before the resolution. "The outlook is clouded by data on volatility in the labour market, as is the victory of Donald Trump," the investment strategist said. "Expectations of future Fed rate cuts are shrinking considerably compared to what many had initially hoped."
