Consensys founder: still plans to move forward with SEC litigation, striving for more legal clarity
According to Forbes business reporter Eleanor Terrett, she contacted Consensys founder Joseph Lubin to ask for his opinion on the SEC's termination of the ETH investigation in the United States and what it means for them to sue the agency. Lubin said the company still plans to move forward with the lawsuit: The Securities Exchange Commission's decision to end its 14-month investigation into Ethereum is a welcome development - necessary, but not sufficient. There has to be a better way to regulate the market than raids.
We hope that the backlash against cryptocurrencies among some U.S. regulators will begin to subside, and that state investor protection strategies will evolve from current guerrilla tactics. Until then, we will continue our litigation against the Securities Exchange Commission in Texas as we work to fight for more legal clarity for all.
