Shipfinex, a maritime asset tokenization fintech platform, announced the completion of a $1.50 million seed round of financing, led by Mr. Gaurav Mehta, Chairperson of Best Oasis Limited and SPM Shipping DMCC, and participated by Mr. Vivek Seth, Senior Vice President of ADNOC Logistics & Services, and Mr. Yasovardhan Chinn, founder of Nanlian Ship Management LLC. The specific valuation information has not been disclosed yet. The new funds will support its implementation of partial ownership of maritime assets through blockchain, thereby democratizing maritime finance, and cooperate with the supervision of Dubai Virtual Asset Regulatory Authority (VARA) to develop a safe and compliant maritime asset token (MAT) market.
