Poll: 35% of Americans hope Trump will pay attention to inflation soon after taking office
Americans believe inflation is the top issue President-elect Trump should address in his 100 days in office, according to a Reuters/Ipsos poll released on Tuesday. About 35 percent of respondents to the three-day poll said inflation was an area Trump should focus on, compared with 30 percent who said it was immigration and 27 percent who said jobs and the overall economy. Another 23 percent said Trump should focus on unifying the country. A smaller percentage of respondents said he should focus on taxes, crime or foreign conflicts. In addition, only 1 percent of respondents said Trump should focus on international trade and tariffs. The survey surveyed 1,014 adults across the United States, with a margin of error of about 3 percentage points.
