Web3 VC firm Theory Venture launches second new $450 million fund
Theory Venture, a venture capital firm focused on early-stage investments in data, artificial intelligence and Web3, announced that its second fund has completed a $450 million fundraising, following the launch of its first $238 million fund in April 2023, and the new fund will further expand its support for innovators. It is reported that the new fund will focus on three areas: data analytics, artificial intelligence as a new platform, and decentralized infrastructure as a database. It has already led a $16.50 million Series A round of funding for enterprise-grade blockchain data platform Allium. Its founder Tomasz Tunguz said that the rise of artificial intelligence and the mainstream adoption of crypto and blockchain will bring transformative opportunities for startups.
