Vitalik: The crypto industry needs apps like Polymarket that focus on specific functions

Vitalik Buterin, co-founder of Ethereum, wrote on Warpcast: "The idea of building apps just because we need them is fundamentally soulless. It completely discards the idea that cryptocurrencies are about making concrete changes in the world, making it more free, open and collaborative. Ignoring apps and focusing on commonality is also a short-term escape strategy. What we need are specific categories of apps that can really make the world more free, open and collaborative, and can be used organically. Polymarket is a good example, and anoncast is a great opportunity to bring the best free speech to the surface while avoiding getting mired in spam and low-quality content. "
