U.S. President Joe Biden said Thursday he wants President-elect Donald Trump to reconsider his plan to impose tariffs on Mexico and Canada, saying it could "mess up" relations with close allies. "I want him to reconsider. I think it would be counterproductive to do so," he said in Nantucket. "Our situation in the United States is unusual, we are surrounded by the Pacific Ocean, the Atlantic Ocean, and two allies: Mexico and Canada. The last thing we need to do is start damaging those relationships."
