Caixin: The origin of "BRICS payment" is unknown, or a false "official website" is manufactured for the currency circle

On December 2, it was reported that during the 16th BRICS Summit held in Kazan, Russia, information about BRICS Pay, a decentralized multilateral cross-border transfer system jointly launched by the BRICS countries, was spread on the Internet, and it was said that the pilot would be launched in China. Search for "BRICS Pay", and even a decent "official website" appeared, with English and Chinese versions respectively. However, Caixin found that many authoritative media reports mentioned by the "official website" were actually only disseminated in some self-media articles, and the source was unknown. Overseas news about BRICS Pay also appeared on cryptocurrency news websites such as Bitcoin.com.news, Cointelegraph, CCN (Chinese Community Network), etc., not official media reports. Caixin learned from relevant departments that China's monetary authorities are not aware of the so-called "BRICS payment", nor have they participated in it, let alone launched a pilot in China. News of "BRICS payment" in informal channels is more about false news spread by the currency circle to hype a cryptocurrency. The so-called "official website" is also a "rogue website" of Pengci.
