Nigeria denies claims that Binance executives were in poor health during detention
The Nigerian federal government has denied claims that Binance executive Tigran Gambaryan is in poor prison conditions, claiming that he received quality medical care and complete consular services, and stressed that he adheres to a lawful trial and judicial integrity. In a statement, Nigeria's Minister of Information and National Positioning, Mohammed Idris, stressed that Gambaryan's detention is based on a court order, and only a court can change the conditions of his detention or order his release. Previously, it was reported that US politicians visited the detained Binance executive in Nigeria and asked the US embassy there to lobby for his release. The wife of the arrested Binance executive questioned why Nigerian law enforcement agencies could not follow the example of the country's tax office to release her husband.
