Microsoft CFO: Microsoft has accepted cryptocurrencies as customer payments and has been thinking about the development of cryptocurrencies
Microsoft shareholders have voted against the bitcoin investment proposal, although Amy Hood, chief financial officer, said in response to shareholder questions at Tuesday's shareholder meeting that the company had been accepting cryptocurrencies as payment for customers since 2014, adding: "We've been thinking about the evolution of cryptocurrencies". Microsoft shares have risen about 19 per cent so far this year, far underperforming MicroStrategy.
