A fire broke out at a virtual currency mine in South Korea, destroying about 110 mining machines
A fire broke out at a virtual currency mining farm inside a building in Sancheongdong, Wonsan, Wonsan, Jeonrabuk-do, South Korea, and extinguished after about 50 minutes. The fire caused no casualties, but about 110 mining machines were burned, causing property damage worth about 9 million won (fire department estimate). The fire department reported that about 30 of the 110 mining machines were actually operating when the fire broke out.
Police and fire departments are working with witnesses to investigate the cause of the fire.
