Ripple's chief legal officer and other industry figures support French Hill as the new chairperson of the House Financial Services Committee
The appointment of the new chairperson of the US House Financial Services Committee and crypto supporter, US Representative French Hill of Arkansas, has won the support of crypto industry leaders and lawmakers. Brian Brooks, a former acting commissioner of the Comptroller of the Currency and former chief legal officer of cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase, praised Hill's "intelligence, growth mindset and innovative prospects".
Ripple Chief Legal Officer Stuart Alderoty emphasized Hill's potential to drive regulatory transparency for digital assets, saying: As chair of the Digital Assets Subcommittee, Councilman Hill is poised to lead the push for regulatory transparency, continuing the momentum of the last Congress on market structure and stablecoin legislation.
Others in the cryptocurrency and finance sectors have expressed the same sentiment, including the Blockchain Association and the Chamber of Digital Commerce, who have also expressed their support for Hill's leadership.
