Phishing scammers fake Ledger emails, send fake security bugs notifications to trick users into sharing torrent phrases

Scammers are forging support emails from hardware wallet maker Ledger to trick users into sharing their seed phrases under the guise of checking for security bugs. Ledger users report that phishing scammers are forging support emails from crypto hardware wallet providers to trick users into revealing their wallet keys. According to screenshots shared on X and a Dec. 17 BleepingComputer report, the fake email claims that Ledger suffered a "recent data breach" and encourages recipients to verify their private seed phrases under the guise that they need to "secure" their assets.
