McDonald's launches "My Happy Place" meta-universe in Singapore
McDonald's, the US fast-food chain, has launched a "My Happy Place" meta-universe in Singapore, allowing locals to make virtual burgers and participate in other activities.
McDonald's Singapore has partnered with Bandwagon Labs, the meta-universe arm of entertainment media technology company Bandwagon, to create in-app virtual worlds for its customers.
According to the announcement, McDonald's has full control over its app intra-meta universe. The project will go live for a month, from June 6 to July 7, and its success will determine the deployment or continuation of future services.
