Korean digital asset investors about 15.59 million, holding total assets of about $70 billion
On December 25th, according to Yonhap News Agency, according to data submitted by Lim Kwong-hyun, a member of the Democratic Party of Korea and a member of the National Assembly Planning and Finance Committee, as of the end of November, the number of digital asset investors in South Korea was 15.59 million, an increase of 610,000 from the end of October, more than 30% of the Korean population, the total amount of digital assets held was 102.60 trillion won (about 70 billion US dollars), and the amount of deposits (that is, funds not invested in digital assets and stored in exchanges) was 8.80 trillion won (about 600 million US dollars). The data is the number of investors with accounts on the top five exchanges in South Korea (Upbit, Bithumb, Coinone, Korbit, and Gopax), so there may be duplicates when the same person has accounts on multiple exchanges.
