Blockchain developers warn of centralization risks in the crypto AI race
In an interview, Julian Peh, CEO of Kip Protocol, warned of the risk of centralization in the AI space with the merger of Fetch.ai, AGIX and Ocean Protocol into the $7.50 billion Alliance for Artificial Super Intelligence (ASI). He pointed out that companies like OpenAI are training giant models with collective data and taking full control of the regulatory process, which could lead to the loss of economic participation of individuals in the future. Peh stressed that to have a say in the AI-driven future, ownership of data and knowledge must be reclaimed. He introduced that Kip Protocol aims to provide blockchain developers with a decentralized AI infrastructure that promotes fair competition and resource sharing. In addition, Fetch.ai CEO Humayun Sheikh said that the protocol is ready to generate revenue in the short term through the deployment of proxy networks and commercial products.
