Steno Research: Ethereum may outperform Bitcoin in 2025
In a report on Sunday, Steno Research said that the price of Bitcoin is expected to rise from about $94,000 to as low as $150,000 next year, while the price of ETH will more than double, from $3,400 to at least $8,000. Namely, the ETH/BTC exchange rate will rise from the current 0.0357 to 0.06 in the next 12 months, similar to the price action of previous cycles, counterfeit products will be the focus of attention.
"This expectation is based in part on the argument that Donald Trump winning the US Presidential Election is better for counterfeit products than Bitcoin," wrote analyst Mads Eberhardt. Bitcoin's market share is expected to fall to 45 per cent from about 56.6 per cent currently, the report said. TVL for decentralized applications is expected to reach a new high of $300 billion next year, further supporting the argument that the price of counterfeit products will rise if the forecast is correct.
