US judge temporarily blocks release of Trump "classified documents" case report
On January 7 local time, Erin Cannon, the federal judge in charge of the "classified documents" case against US President-elect Trump, ruled that the Department of Justice was temporarily blocked from releasing the "classified documents" report prepared by special counsel Jack Smith. Trump and two other co-defendants in the "classified documents" case had previously filed an emergency motion to prevent the Justice Department from releasing the relevant case report. Erin Cannon ruled that her order "remains in effect for three days after the 11th Circuit rules on the emergency motion, unless the 11th Circuit orders otherwise", meaning that it is up to the appeals court to decide whether the special counsel's report can be issued. In the meantime, Cannon's order will remain in effect until the 11th Circuit rules on the emergency motion.
