Cryptocurrency-related Google searches are nowhere near as popular as the 2021 bull market, with "Bitcoin ETF" only having a search value of 1 in the United States.
Despite the strong inflow of Bitcoin spot ETF funds and the price of Bitcoin breaking through $71,000, Google Trends data shows that compared to 2021, Americans' search for Bitcoin, Bitcoin ETF, Bitcoin price or cryptocurrency related has dropped significantly.
The data shows that the Google search value for "bitcoin" in the US was 31 on June 5, while "bitcoin ETF" was only 1. Other searches, such as "bitcoin price" and crypto, received higher search values of 18 and 13, respectively, but were still well below the levels seen during the retail-driven bull market of 2021.
