Department of Justice special prosecutor Jack Smith resigns after overseeing Trump-related cases

On January 11 local time, the Department of Justice's special prosecutor in charge of the Trump case, Jack Smith, has officially left the Department of Justice on January 10. Jack Smith was appointed as the special prosecutor in November 2022 to investigate two cases of US President-elect Trump.
