Bank of America: No longer expects the Federal Reserve to cut interest rates this year

"Following the stronger-than-expected jobs report, we revised our outlook for the Fed: we no longer expect any further rate cuts, inflation is above target, risks are skewed to the upside, economic activity is strong and the labor market appears to have stabilized," Bank of America economist Stephen Juneau said in a note on Monday. As recently as September last year, Fed officials hinted that they could cut interest rates by one percentage point this year. They halved that expectation at their December meeting. (Jin Ten)
