The three major U.S. stock indexes closed mixed, with the Nasdaq down 0.23%, the S & P 500 up 0.11%, and the Dow up 0.52%. Most large technology stocks fell, with Tesla, Nvidia, and Netflix down more than 1%. Meta fell more than 2%, and the company plans to lay off 5% of its low-performing employees.
