Dubai-based investment firm Sigma Capital launches $100 million fund for Web3 startups
Dubai-based investment firm Sigma Capital has launched the $100 million Sigma Capital Fund I, which focuses on early-stage ventures in the Web3 and blockchain space. The fund will invest in DeFi, blockchain infrastructure, real-world asset tokenization, gaming, and the meta-universe. In terms of investment strategy, Sigma Capital plans to manage a liquid token portfolio and adopt a high-yield DeFi approach to improve returns.
Over the next three years, Sigma Capital plans to invest in 100 early-stage projects, 25 liquid tokens and 10 funds of funds. The company also plans to partner with Web3 hubs in 10 cities around the world to provide market insights and resources to the companies it invests in.
