Trump's inauguration is imminent, and bitcoin is back on track

Just days before the second presidential inauguration of the pro-cryptocurrency Trump, Bitcoin appears to be back on track for record highs. It has rallied about 12 percent since Sunday and is on track for its biggest weekly gain since November's election week. Bitcoin hit a record $108,315 in December but has fallen in three of the past four weeks. "The market is currently digesting the Trump inauguration and its optimism about cryptocurrencies," said Zahir Ebutikar, founder of crypto fund Split Capital. According to foreign media reports, Trump, who was previously skeptical of cryptocurrencies, plans to issue an executive order that would elevate cryptocurrencies to a policy priority and give industry insiders a voice in his administration.
