According to Cointelegraph, the founder of Darknet Silk Road, Ross Ulbricht, has warned cryptocurrency users not to invest in any Meme coins named after him. "I am not involved in or associated with any Meme coin that bears my name," Mr. Ulbricht said. "There is no official Ross coin." CoinMarketCap data shows that at least one token, ROSS, named after Ulbricht's name and likeness and launched in May 2024, saw its price rise sharply after the U.S. election day before Trump became president.
