Perplexity launches artificial intelligence search API Sonar

On January 22nd, according to TechCrunch, Perplexity launched the Sonar API on January 21st, allowing enterprises and developers to integrate their generative AI search tools into their own applications. Sonar supports real-time networking to get answers from trusted sources for improved accuracy and authority. The API is divided into the basic version of Sonar and the advanced version of Sonar Pro. The basic version costs $5 per 1,000 searches, and the input and output are charged $1 per 750,000 words. The Pro version charges $3 for input and $15 for output, and supports complex questions and more citations. Companies such as Zoom have provided real-time search support for their AI assistants through Sonar, without the need for users to leave the video conference window.
