ARK Invest CEO and Chief Investment Officer Cathie Wood is betting that Trump's regulatory and growth agenda will revive the U.S. IPO market. "Regulatory reform is going to go a long way toward restoring the public markets," she said in an interview on Wednesday. "I understand why companies want to stay private. There's a lot of friction really with the regulatory dilemmas they face going into the public markets." Wall Street has been waiting for a bigger resurgence in IPOs after a small rebound in new listings in 2024, and Wood said: "What the new administration is doing is changing the fear with optimism. People have grossly underestimated the importance of deregulation to unleashing instincts. We're very excited about it and our strategy will set us apart in the market."
