On June 27th, the blockchain application platform Lisk launched a vote to "keep or destroy 100 million LSK tokens" (25% of the total capped supply 400 million). The vote is scheduled to take place on the new LiskDAO on September 24th and will last for 7 days until October 1st. If the community chooses to allocate to the DAO fund, 100 million LSK tokens will be allocated to the LiskDAO fund. The tokens will belong to the fund from 2027 to 2033, with 15 million LSK tokens distributed annually for six years and 10 million for the seventh year. If the community chooses to destroy, 100 million LSK tokens will be permanently removed from the total supply. This move will reduce the total LSK token supply by 25% to 300 million tokens.
