Seoul High Court rules in favor of Fantom Foundation, suing SikSin CEO
The three-judge panel of the Civil Division of the Seoul High Court ruled 19-3 in favour of the Fantom Foundation ("Defendant" or "Fantom") against Byung-Ik Ahn ("Ahn", SikSin and Ahn together as "Plaintiffs"), CEO of the South Korean food technology start-up SikSin and SikSin, and SikSin and Ahn together as "Plaintiffs"), overturning the first-instance judgment of the Seoul Central District Court (which granted the Plaintiff's demand that Fantom pay the full amount of benefits in excess of 198 million FTM), rejecting all the benefits claimed by the Plaintiff, with the Plaintiff bearing all litigation costs. The Seoul High Court is the appellate court covering the entire territory of Seoul, Gyeonggi and Gangwon provinces in South Korea.
