Former Algorand chief scientist Jing Chen has left the United States to join Tsinghua University full-time as a professor
Chen Jing, a computer scientist and blockchain expert, has left the United States to join Tsinghua University as a professor full-time. According to the China Computer Federation Digital Library, Chen Jing is a professor in the Department of Computer Science at Tsinghua University and a recipient of the National Overseas High-level Talent Program. Her main research interests are blockchain, smart contracts, computational game theory and mechanism design. She used to be the chief scientist and theoretical research director of the blockchain technology company Algorand, an assistant professor in the Department of Computer Science at the State University of New York at Stony Brook, and won the NSF CAREER Award in 2016. Chen Jing has published many papers at the top conferences and top publications of computational theory and economics, and has served as a PC for important international conferences in the fields of computational theory, computational game theory, security, and blockchain.
