Global survey: 51% of Generation Z (aged 18-29) own or have owned cryptocurrencies
According to a recent survey by cryptocurrency exchange Gemini cited by Tokenpost, 51% of Gen Z respondents globally (aged 18-29) said they currently or have held cryptocurrencies, much higher than the 35% of the general population.
The survey of 6,000 respondents in countries including the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Singapore, and Turkey revealed that 51% of Gen Z, 49% of Millennials, and 29% of Gen X in the United States own or have owned cryptocurrency.
In addition, the survey also found that 31% of Gen Z strongly support increased government regulation of the cryptocurrency industry, compared to 46% of the general population.
