The spokesperson of the Ministry of Commerce made a statement on the US announcement of a 10% tariff on Chinese products exported to the United States
On February 2nd, at about 8 pm Eastern Time on February 1st, the White House released a list of facts, announcing a 10% tariff on Chinese products imported to the US on the grounds of fentanyl and other issues. China is strongly dissatisfied with this and firmly opposes it. The unilateral imposition of tariffs by the US seriously violates WTO rules, which is not only unhelpful to solving its own problems, but also undermines the normal economic and trade cooperation between China and the US. Regarding the wrong practice of the US, China will file a lawsuit with the WTO and will take corresponding countermeasures to firmly safeguard its own rights and interests.
