US Treasury Sued for Providing Sensitive Information to Elon Musk's DOGE
The American Federation of Labor and the Confederation of Industrial Unions, the nation's largest labor unions, sued the US Treasury and Secretary of State Scott Bessant on Feb. 3 in federal court in Washington, D.C., seeking to stop what it called the "unlawful, ongoing, systematic and ongoing disclosure of personal and financial information" to Musk and the DOGE.
"The scale of the invasion of individual privacy is enormous and unprecedented," the AFL and CIO said. "People who must share information with the federal government should not be forced to share information with Elon Musk or his'DOGE '."
