Senate Committee Votes to Nominate Howard Lutnick as Commerce Secretary

The Senate committee voted 16 to 12 to approve the nomination of Howard Lutnick, the nominee for Secretary of Commerce. Mr. Lutnick, now chief executive of Cantor Fitzgerald, which manages Tether's multibillion-dollar Treasury debt business, was explicit in a CNBC interview: "I support cryptocurrencies, but specifically, only Bitcoin. Other tokens are off the table."
