The Reserve Bank of India will introduce dedicated domains for banks from April to help users distinguish between legitimate banking websites and fraudulent ones
According to Tech Crunch, the Reserve Bank of India will introduce dedicated .bank.in domains for banks from April to curb digital payment fraud. At the same time, it plans to launch a separate fin.in domain for non-bank Financial Institution Group. The RBI said it will issue detailed guidelines to banks separately for the new initiative, aimed at helping users distinguish between legitimate banking websites and fraudulent websites.
