According to the BBC, US President Joe Biden has assured Democratic patrons that he can still beat Trump to win the presidential election, after his poor performance in the debate raised concerns about his candidacy. Biden, 81, took part in a series of fundraisers in New York and New Jersey on Saturday and defended his performance in the CNN presidential debate. At one of the events, Biden said, "I don't have a big dream but neither does Trump, and I promise you, we're going to win this election." He said he understands concerns about his performance in Thursday's debate, but he promised to fight harder.
