CME bitcoin futures hit record shortfall of more than $10,000
According to Cointelegraph, the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) has recorded its largest ever bitcoin futures shortfall after U.S. President Donald Trump announced a strategic cryptocurrency reserve. The news added more than $300 billion in volume to the cash market and led to a $10,000 shortfall in CME bitcoin futures, according to TradingView. The record shortfall surpassed the previous record of just over $4,000 in August 2024, which was observed by Asymmetric founder Joe McCann on March 2.
