Slow Mist: February Web3 security incident losses expected to be around $1.681 billion

According to SlowMist Monitor, the damage caused by the February 2025 Web3 security incident is estimated to total $1.681 billion. The SlowMist Blockchain Hacking Archive recorded a total of 15 hacks, resulting in approximately $1.676 billion in losses, of which $52.45 million was frozen or recovered. In addition, according to Web3 anti-fraud platform ScamSniffer, there were 7,442 victims of phishing attacks this month, with a total loss of $5.32 million. The majority of incidents were caused by smart contract vulnerabilities, social engineering, account hacking, and private key leakage.
