SBI VC Trade, a Japanese cryptocurrency finance firm, announced today that it has completed the first registration of stablecoin trading in Japan, according to CoinDesk. After receiving approval, it will begin processing USDC transactions on March 12. The company will be able to offer buying, selling and depositing USDC to individual and corporate clients, and will need to safeguard more than the amount of US dollar collateral deposited by customers. SBI Group's Shinsei Trust Bank will assume the role of trust preservation.
